Canyon Area Residents for the Environment (C.A.R.E.) is the umbrella homeowner's group serving a community of 10,000 people living on the 5 mountains bordering Mt. Vernon Canyon west of Golden, Colorado in unincorporated Jefferson County. Our Purpose is to preserve and enhance our community and environment. |

For 30 years and more, local citizens have proposed that North and South Table Mountains be spared from development. Over the years, various development proposals were made and defeated and some parcels were sold or granted to Jeffco Open Space or put into private conservation. |

Formed by volcanoes more than 63 million years ago over areas once roamed by dinosaurs, North and South Table Mountains are treasured Colorado Landmarks. The Table Mountains Conservation Fund is a non-profit organization founded by citizens of Golden, Colorado and surrounding communities in Colorado's Central Jefferson County to protect and preserve our community's signature natural landmarks - the Mesas known as North and South Table Mountain. Join us in our effort and let us show you how you can help these majestic mountains remain Open Space for this and future generations. |
